IUCN Status: Critically Endangered
Considered to be one of the rarest mammal on land and the population is a few is 50-60 individuals left. This is a single population left in the wild, as Javan Rhinos do not do well in captivity.
Because of its few population, low genetic diversity is considered a problem, causing the species to become more difficult to survive. Also, because of a small concentrated group, natural disasters are considered a threat as well.
