A medium sized bovid living in the Tibetan plateau. An unfamiliar animal, but is known to produce a familiar material - the Shahtoosh, a material used to make soft shawls that could worth up to $20 000. The animal has been in protection of the government since the late 1800s. But upon looking at the some shawl samples under the microscope, some shawls are still made from the Chiru's underfur, illegally.
